Hey Friends, nice to meet you!

Hi there! Let me introduce myself - I'm just one of three crazy gals you'll see posting on our blog here at Scrapbox Studio. My name is Jeni and I (along with Bonnie) am a designer for Little Scrapbox. Recently, we have started up our classes and are in the process of designing around the clock so we can bring you a larger variety of classes. Right now, I am currently instructing the Bella stamp class (holla to all my Bella sistahs!) which is booking through the roof. Our next series of Bella classes will have more availability because you guys just can't seem to get enough Bella! In addition, I am also instructing a layout class themed around summer. In the works, is a pregnancy planner, baby boy and girl 8 x 8 albums, and some kind of altered project. Keep checking your email, or here on our blog for more info.

I gotta tell you guys how excited and proud I am to be a part of Little Scrapbox. Working for Deb (the owner) is truly a blessing. I mean, I 'm getting paid to do what I love - how could it possibly get any better??!! ;) Deb works her tail feathers to the bone here in the store constantly trouble shooting, or evolving the business. She's super motivated to succeed and has such a heart of gold. I just know she will be a huge success here in our little corner of Shelby Township.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with so many wonderful ladies - people like you who come in to crop or shop. I've made many friends here and the number keeps growing with every class I teach, and every crop I work. Being so vested in my job, I subscribe to so many email lists and magazines to keep myself fresh with creativity. Creating Keepsakes (the popular magazine) is one of those sources I subscribe to and I couldn't help but take special notice to a particular article the other day. The editor in chief was encouraging people to support their local scrapbook stores considering the recent turn in our economy. I was so relieved to read that article. We recently sent an email to the same affect and a lot of people thought we were going out of business. I can assure you we are NOT going out of business. It was just a note to everyone to remind you that although your local chain stores have unbelievable rocking deals, you have to remember that a local mom and pop scrapbook store could NEVER compete with those prices. But here at your smaller scrapbook stores is where you will find inspiration, top quality product, creativity, friends, community crops, a place to gather with other scrapbookers. I mean really, it's truly priceless. Unfortunately, the more that scrapbookers shop at the chain stores, the less you will see of your smaller "LSS" (local scrapbook stores). We've watched 4 in the area close just this year. It saddens me. I don't expect you all to stop shopping at those chain stores, but I do encourage you to think twice when you purchase. Instead of being proud of the fact that you made it out of a crop with only a $1.79 bill, shop a little more and support your favorite stores! You'll be glad you did.

Sorry for the long post - didn't want to be a drag - I promise nothing but fun and creativity from here on out! Nice to meet ya!

Jeni
